So, I'm trying to get Adriyana used to being and eventually sleeping in her crib instead of the bassinet in our bedroom. I'm not sure when it'll happen (because I'm a chicken) but for now she loves to stare up at her mobile surrounded by all her stuffed animals.
(no dolls haha)

Nine weeks old
This week Adriyana had her 2 month check up. She weighed in at 10lb 6oz and is 23 1/4" long...getting to be a big girl! She was given 4 shots in her legs and boy did she scream like a banshee. My poor baby!
My mom came over on Friday to spend the day with us.We had fun dressing up Adri in the sunflower outfit she had bought her. Ha, she'll probably hate this picture when she gets older!!
South Carolina....eight weeks old
This week we drove down to Greenville, South Carolina and visited with Adriyana's Uncle Brandon, Aunt Ashley (who is expecting another little girl in May) and cousin Aleeza. We had an enjoyable time with them checking out the area and soaking up the warmer weather. Aleeza loooved her new little cousin (Baby, Baby is what she called her) and showed this by planting kisses on her every chance she got...so cute! Jared and I took Adri for a walk at the Falls Park which was the first time she's been exposed to the outside. At home it has been snowing and cold her whole life!

Three weeks old
Two weeks old
One week old

The first week was kind of stressful. We had to take Adriyana back to the hospital twice after her two day check up because she developed jaundice. Thankfully the levels were never high enough to have to readmit her but it was still a little scary. After she started nursing well things went more smoothly....though with that I developed a huge lack of sleep! Welcome to Motherhood huh?!

Family
With the arrival of Adriyana, there are a lot of "firsts" on my side of the family. My parents are now grandparents. I can't thank them enough for all they've done for us and for Adri. My mom was right by my side helping to coach (along with Jared) when Adriyana was born while my dad was lending his support as "the man behind the curtain" :-) I love them so much!
Then we have Adri's Great Great Grandparents. I am so thankful that they are able to share the joy of having Adriyana in our lives. They are just smitten with her!
We also have Adriyana's new Great Grandparents....they have yet to meet her but I'm sure can't help but to be in love with her already!!
Here is Grandma Abbott holding her newest of three (and soon to be four) grandaughters.
The new addition
Adriyana Elizabeth Abbott was born January 8th, 2007 at 7:39 pm. She weighed 6lb 10oz and was 20" long. I was in labor for about 6 1/2 hours....the whole experience was one of the hardest but most rewarding ever!
Here we go....
I've finally decided that I need to take the time and start blogging. That way everyone can keep updated and so I don't have to send out a bazillion emails with pictures each week :) Well, this might take a little while to get caught up so bare with me!!
